We love the Berkeley Times! This local publication comes out twice per month, each issue full of art, events, and news generated by and for Berkeley’s community. Ecology Center member Todd Kerr, the force behind Berkeley Times, brings each issue by our big table in our space, which has become a chance for us to get to know Todd and the effort and intention that goes into each issue. We are thrilled to join him in celebrating the publication’s 5th Birthday this Sunday, and the invitation is extended to you – please come! Five years ago, Berkeley Times launched as a print-only newspaper in the community of Berkeley and promised not to flinch when writing the word “love.” Emphasizing people and events rather than argument and opinion, the publication has grown steadily winning over more and more readers, subscribers, and advertisers from every corner of town. So, now it’s time to celebrate the scores of individuals who contribute to a growing publication, and in so doing, help reflect upon one of the most amazing communities in the world.
